Italian Plum Tree (Italian Prune Plum)

Italian Plum Tree (Italian Prune Plum)

The Italian Plum Tree is a classic European variety known for its deep purple skin, sweet amber flesh, and exceptional drying quality. Also called Italian Prune, this freestone plum is prized for fresh eating, baking, preserves, and especially for making homemade prunes.

The fruit is firm, richly flavored, and ripens in late summer, offering dependable harvests year after year. Italian Plum trees are self-fertile, making them an excellent choice for backyard growers who want reliable production from a single tree.

In spring, the tree is covered in delicate white blossoms, followed by heavy clusters of elegant, oval-shaped fruit.
