Cox Orange Pippin Apple Tree
Cox Orange Pippin Apple Tree
The Cox Orange Pippin is widely regarded as one of the finest dessert apples in the world. This classic English heirloom delivers an intensely aromatic, richly balanced flavor — sweet, tart, and beautifully complex.
With its attractive orange-red blush over golden skin and firm, juicy flesh, Cox Orange Pippin is prized for fresh eating but also makes excellent juice and cider.
Originally introduced in England in the 1800s, this variety remains a favorite among orchardists who value exceptional flavor over mass production.
Harvest: Mid-season (September)
Best For: Fresh eating, juice, cider
Pollination: Requires a compatible pollinator
Zones: 4–8
If you’re planting for flavor above all else, Cox Orange Pippin is a timeless choice.
