Bing Cherry Tree

Bing Cherry Tree

The Bing Cherry Tree is one of the most popular sweet cherry varieties grown today, prized for its large, dark red fruit and exceptionally sweet flavor. The cherries ripen to a deep mahogany color with firm, juicy flesh that makes them perfect for fresh eating right off the tree.

Originally developed in the Pacific Northwest in the late 1800s, Bing cherries have become a favorite for home orchards thanks to their rich flavor, attractive fruit, and dependable harvests.

In spring, the tree produces beautiful clusters of white blossoms before setting its early summer crop of delicious cherries.

Harvest: Early to mid-season (June)
Flavor: Very sweet, rich
Best For: Fresh eating, desserts, preserves
Pollination: Requires a compatible sweet cherry pollinator
USDA Zones: 5–8

If you’re looking for a classic sweet cherry with outstanding flavor and beautiful fruit, the Bing Cherry Tree is a wonderful addition to any home orchard.
