Anjou Pear Tree

Anjou Pear Tree

The Anjou Pear Tree is a classic European pear variety prized for its smooth texture, sweet flavor, and dependable harvests. This productive tree yields medium to large pears with smooth green skin and creamy white flesh that is juicy, mild, and pleasantly sweet.

Anjou pears are excellent for fresh eating and hold their shape well when cooked, making them perfect for baking, poaching, and preserving. The fruit stores well after harvest, allowing you to enjoy homegrown pears for weeks.

In spring, the tree produces beautiful white blossoms before setting its late-season crop of flavorful fruit.

Harvest: Late season (September–October)
Flavor: Sweet, mild, and juicy
Best For: Fresh eating, baking, poaching, preserves
Pollination: Requires a compatible pear pollinator (such as Bartlett or Bosc)
USDA Zones: 5–8

If you're looking for a reliable pear tree that produces flavorful fruit with excellent storage quality, the Anjou Pear Tree is a wonderful addition to any home orchard.
